 Working with EcoMatters in the ‘Wash Against Waste’ project (environmentally friendly alternative to ‘disposable’ crockery). |
 Working with Te Kakano Trust to offset our carbon emissions. |
We believe that a Reuse shop is a natural fit for Resource Recovery as it provides a portal for the recovery of any reusable goods from the waste stream. Our preference is to work closely with the community to ensure that a Reuse Shop would work and is sustainable. |

Our Safety
Smart Environmental Limited is committed to controlling its activities in such a manner that they do not cause any harm to employees, subcontractors and the public. We take our responsibility for Health and Safety in the workplace very seriously.
Following the appointment of a full time Compliance Manager in June 2011, the Health and Safety Management Systems are involved in on-going external audits to validate the Health and Safety systems against the ACC WSMP model and the AS/NZS 4801 standard. Smart is accredited to Tertiary Level ACC WSMP standard and are accredited to the AS/NZS 4801 standard by Telarc.
Smart’s Health and Safety Management systems are comprehensive and used throughout our national operations.
